20 Dec 2026 Berlin / Winter Solstice CI Jam & Potluck, Berlin

The 2026 winter solstice occurs on Monday, December 21, 2026, at 20:50 UTC—3:50 p.m. EST. It marks the beginning of astronomical winter in the Northern Hemisphere. Daylight begins gradually increasing after the solstice. The word solstice comes from Latin roots meaning “Sun standing still,” referring to the Sun’s apparent pause before beginning to move northward again.

This jam is an invitation to come together to move & share food with one another, celebrate the transition of the season with our Berlin CI community.

After the jam, there is an optional Potluck in the studio, for those who want to stay. Please bring some food to share with others.

This jam is for people familiar with the practice of Contact Improvisation. Please feel free to spread the word and invite your friends!

We will begin and end together, please be on time! Arrival between 13-13:30, after 13:30 there is no entry possible.
